a documentary forward approach
I value candid imagery and raw emotion and will therefore always allow you and your guests the space to absolutely and undeniably, be yourselves. I want to encourage you to fully live out the moments of your wedding day over banging out a shot list. You can expect the majority of your images to almost look like I was a fly on the wall, for them to display how the day was. At the same time, during certain portions of your day, I will step in when needed to guide you (like couples portraits) while still having the goal of these images to feel and look natural, romantic and again, an accurate depiction of your relationship! That way, when you look back at this day, it feels like you're reliving that exact moment and the way you felt... not a bunch of staged moments that made your wedding day feel like an all day photoshoot.

While we were being pushed to move the ceremony inside, Whitney fought in our corner and insisted we wait out the rain. She was right! Five minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start, the sky opened up to blue long enough for the ceremony to happen.

She listened to the things that were important to us and then helped us curate a day that felt completely authentic to us. When elopement day came, she not only delivered from a photography standpoint, but felt like a mix between our sherpa and guardian angel for the day. The goal is to always capture what it felt like, not what it looked like... sealed with a kiss and a little bit of camera magic.
what you can expect
"Full Day" photography coverage with me is 10-12 hours. This allows me to intentionally document your day (beginning shortly after you begin hair + makeup and through your grand exit) to ensure we don't miss a moment. If you feel that some moments on either end of your day are not important to have documented, no problem! We will work through this on our call and I'll create a custom coverage quote for you!
02. A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER
A second photographer is so valuable for various parts of your day, here are some instances below:
-You and your partner are getting ready in different spaces/locations at around the same time- unfortunately I can not be in two places at once and we would love to be able to document these moments and each of your carefully selected details for the day.
-A large part of ensuring we tell the complete story of your day, is working as a team- we divide and conquer throughout the day. During cocktail hour, I will be handing family formals while the second is grabbing candids, guest group photos and detail images of your reception space. During your ceremony, my second is focus on environment and emotion (the 'big picture' of your venue and snapping guest/family expressions). These are just a few..
03. DESIRE ANY ADD ONS LIKE AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION, REHEARSAL EVENING COVERAGE OR FILM?
- Most couples haven't been in front of the camera before, at least not for something like this! Whether this is a need for Save the Dates, or an opportunity for us to meet in person before your wedding day and get to know what it's like to be in front of the camera with me- I'm all for adding this on for you! These are just a few add-ons, during our call we will go over my full A La Carte Menue.
