Dani and Kendall opted for a fly fishing engagement session at Vail Pass in Vail, Colorado. How freaking cool is that!? These are two of the sweetest ladies I’ve met. After our first intro call, I was SO excited that they had chosen to work with me for their 2023 Crested Butte wedding.
Dani and Kendall planned a trip out to Colorado for a Red Rocks concert this September. We decided to kill two birds with one stone and fit their engagement session in while they were out here. Fly fishing is something that they love doing together. It’s especially close to Kendall’s heart as that is one thing her Grandfather loved to do. I told them we should absolutely try to find a place where we could get them out on the water.
We headed up to Vail Pass and romped around in a gorgeous meadow that overlooks several different mountain ranges before heading to an alpine lake. These two did a quick change from their adorable sundresses straight into their fly fishing gear. They cracked open some Coors Lights and walked down to Black Lakes. I had such a fun time capturing their bond over fly fishing and the seeing the love they have for one another. The sweetest part? Dani was wearing Kendall’s Grandfathers vest and Kendall used his rod.
Being able to capture this session was so unique and meaningful. I can’t wait to shoot their 2023 wedding as they tie the knot!

Kyle and Abby’s celebration at The Mountain Wedding Garden in Crested Butte was a dream from start to finish—and for me, it became a love letter to wedding film photography. The groom is a big film enthusiast, so much so that he handed my husband (who is also my assistant) his Pentax 645 medium format […]
Anna and Zach’s Vail Golf Club wedding was the perfect mix of mountain magic and editorial elegance. Vail has always been Anna’s happy place—where she grew up skiing and where she and Zach first fell in love—so it was only natural to bring everyone they love back here to celebrate. From the very beginning, Anna […]
Kirsten and Will first slid into my DMs (well… my inquiry form, but that’s basically the same thing) back in June 2024. On it, Kirsten wrote, “I love your editing style and previous photos at Piney.” Piney Lake (Piney River Ranch) is one of my all-time favorite spots, so when I saw they were dreaming […]
There’s always something special about photographing a destination wedding, especially when it involves a place as stunning as Baja Luna in San José del Cabo. The bride happens to be best friends with one of the planners I work with frequently in Colorado. She was helping Elisa find a photographer, and after a little online […]
Emma and Zack’s Flying Diamond Ranch wedding was one of those days that felt like magic. Tucked in the aspen-covered hills of Steamboat Springs, this day had it all: a jaw-droppingly beautiful setting, a design that perfectly blended retro charm with mountain luxe, and a dance floor that doubled as a concert stage. We first […]
If you’re dreaming of a romantic wedding in the mountains of Boulder, Colorado—Greystone Castle is an impressive venue that blends Old World charm with panoramic views. And trust me, it’s just as dreamy in person as it sounds. This styled shoot was all about leaning into that magic. We set out to create something that […]
