In September Danika and Zach reached out to me about capturing their pontoon boat engagement session. Rest assured they received a big ‘ole “HELL YEAH” from me! As the fall foliage starts to show, I knew this would be the perfect time and place for a session. The idea of hopping on Zach’s family boat on Lake Dillon had all of the creative ideas and possibilities pouring in. All my sessions are so special and unique to each couple, which I love. When someone asks me to do something with a touch of personality, I get so stoked. It’s those little things that remind me of why I love being a photographer. It’s my job to capture those special moments, but it makes them that much better when those moments are so close to who you are.
We had the best evening ‘sailing’ to a private island on Lake Dillon. We relaxed while taking in the scenery of the surrounding views of Breckenridge. Ten Mile Peaks, nearby 14ers, and the changing fall colors under the evening golden hour… moments that make time stand still. Of course, I didn’t forget about their Husky pup Bergen. He rolled around in the sand, took naps on the back of the boat, and sniffed the open waters. He kept an eye out for mom and dad while they played captain and enjoyed their time together in a place they love.
I have a blast getting to tap into my creativity with sessions like these. If you’re wanting to capture a creative photoshoot like this one, you should reach out to me! If you enjoyed this pontoon boat engagement session post, you might like this one too.
Ellen and Mark’s Camp Hale wedding was the kind of mountain day that keeps you on your toes. They actually found me through Instagram after falling in love with my editing style and how I capture couples looking natural. From our first chat, it was clear these two wanted their wedding photos to feel relaxed, […]

Rowan and Jake first popped up on my radar as guests at a wedding I photographed in June 2025. Though, funny enough, we didn’t actually meet that day (wedding chaos will do that to you). Fast-forward a few months, and they reached out after getting engaged at the end of summer, ready to dive into […]

Kyle and Abby’s celebration at The Mountain Wedding Garden in Crested Butte was a dream from start to finish—and for me, it became a love letter to wedding film photography. The groom is a big film enthusiast, so much so that he handed my husband (who is also my assistant) his Pentax 645 medium format […]

Anna and Zach’s Vail Golf Club wedding was the perfect mix of mountain magic and editorial elegance. Vail has always been Anna’s happy place—where she grew up skiing and where she and Zach first fell in love—so it was only natural to bring everyone they love back here to celebrate. From the very beginning, Anna […]

Kirsten and Will first slid into my DMs (well… my inquiry form, but that’s basically the same thing) back in June 2024. On it, Kirsten wrote, “I love your editing style and previous photos at Piney.” Piney Lake (Piney River Ranch) is one of my all-time favorite spots, so when I saw they were dreaming […]

There’s always something special about photographing a destination wedding, especially when it involves a place as stunning as Baja Luna in San José del Cabo. The bride happens to be best friends with one of the planners I work with frequently in Colorado. She was helping Elisa find a photographer, and after a little online […]
