If you’re dreaming of a romantic wedding in the mountains of Boulder, Colorado—Greystone Castle is an impressive venue that blends Old World charm with panoramic views. And trust me, it’s just as dreamy in person as it sounds.
This styled shoot was all about leaning into that magic. We set out to create something that felt elegant—with a splash of editorial flair and a hefty dose of personality. Think intimate garden party meets modern fairytale, with a bit of croquet and champagne on the side. Whether you’re planning a full-scale celebration or an intentionally intimate day, this shoot was designed to inspire couples who love good design, good vibes, and a damn good view.

Greystone Castle sits on over 70 acres in the Boulder foothills, with panoramic views of the Flatirons and an impressive stone exterior that brings just the right amount of drama. It has a unique mix of rustic charm and refined elegance.
For this styled shoot, the goal was simple: create something beautiful, modern, and a little unexpected. We kept things intimate and intentional, leaning into a floral-forward design with rich color, clean lines, and a garden party setup. Between the croquet lawn, champagne wall, and dialed-in details, this wasn’t your typical castle wedding vibe—and that’s exactly the point.
A huge thanks to the vendor team who made it happen. Every piece of this shoot was crafted with care, and it all came together to show what’s possible when you blend strong design with a standout location.

Set against the backdrop of Colorado’s Flatirons, Greystone Castle delivers on both views and architecture. With over 70 acres of open meadows and forest, it was the perfect setting for a day that leaned into simplicity, style, and intentional design.
The ceremony took place in the backfield—no arch needed beyond a sweeping floral install grounded in soft, seasonal blooms. It was minimal in the best way: a clean, natural layout that kept the focus on the couple. Guests sat on modern wood chairs, surrounded by mountain views and blue skies.
Cocktail hour followed with a champagne wall (yes, there was a literal “ring for champagne” bell), live music, and croquet on the lawn. It brought a laid-back energy that still felt elevated. Guests arrived dressed in bold, fashion-forward looks, adding a playful, editorial vibe to the whole afternoon.
Dinner was served under the trees at long tables layered with patterned linens, modern place settings, and vibrant florals. It felt like a garden party reimagined—intimate, colorful, and polished.

This Greystone Castle wedding is proof that intimacy doesn’t mean boring—and simple doesn’t mean lacking style. It’s perfect for couples who care about design but also want their day to feel relaxed and personal. Whether it’s a floral-forward ceremony, an editorial cocktail hour, or a garden dinner that looks straight out of a magazine, this kind of setting gives you space to get creative without losing the heart of it all. It’s a dream to photograph here and even better to experience it in person.
If you’re planning a wedding that’s romantic, intentional, and a little different from the usual script—I’d love to help you bring it to life.

Jackie and Mike’s day is proof that a non-venue wedding in Telluride can be just as intentional, meaningful, and beautifully planned as any traditional celebration. They found me through a past bride (the best kind of introduction, if you ask me), and by the time we connected, there was already trust. They loved my work, […]

Snowy engagement photos in Vail are never a bad idea. You get consistent powder, open mountain views, and clean backdrops that don’t compete. The landscape is simple, which means the focus stays on the couple, not the scenery trying to steal the show. Snow softens everything visually, from light to color to texture. It creates […]

Meredith and Broderick’s late-August Telluride wedding unfolded with the kind of mountain-town charm that always keeps you on your toes—sun one minute, clouds the next. I covered their entire weekend, starting with the welcome evening and carrying all the way through the wedding day, which gave me the chance to document not just the big […]

Vail has no shortage of stunning backdrops, but when it comes to Vail wedding venues, there’s something undeniably magical about tying the knot in the mountains. Maybe it’s the crisp alpine air, the way the Gore Range catches the evening light, or the simple luxury of being surrounded by scenery that feels straight out of […]

Ellen and Mark’s Camp Hale wedding was the kind of mountain day that keeps you on your toes. They actually found me through Instagram after falling in love with my editing style and how I capture couples looking natural. From our first chat, it was clear these two wanted their wedding photos to feel relaxed, […]

Rowan and Jake first popped up on my radar as guests at a wedding I photographed in June 2025. Though, funny enough, we didn’t actually meet that day (wedding chaos will do that to you). Fast-forward a few months, and they reached out after getting engaged at the end of summer, ready to dive into […]
